Kiler Grove grows Mourvèdre, Grenache, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Trebbiano grapes. We have bottled ’05, ’07, ’09, and some ’10 vintages of “Interpretation” (our “GSM” blend), “Zinergy™” (KGW’s cult Zinfandel) and Petite Sirah, plus the ’08 and ’09 Trebbiano. Approximately half of the 1,500 cases that are bottled each year is our flagship wine, Zinergy™. The goal for each year’s production is 1500 cases (minimum) to 3000 cases (maximum).

Trebbiano2009 Trebbiano

Paso Robles AVA
90% Trebbiano, 10% Sauvignon Blanc
Alcohol: 14.5%

This vineyard is now 11 years old. The roots have driven deep into our limestone shales and clays to find the nutrients the plant needs to make the best fruit possible. This vintage expresses more nuance than ever before, emphasizing the kiwi, citrus, and melon characters this wine is known for. Our Trebbiano pairs well with seafood, poultry, salads, and vegetables.

Interpretation 2010 Interpretation

Paso Robles AVA
40% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre, 20% Petite Sirah
Alcohol: 14.5%

Our New World homage to the wines of the southern Rhône region, Interpretation is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Petite Sirah. Although it’s our middleweight wine, it lacks nothing in the way of aroma or flavor. On the nose there are hints of the classic Old World earthy aromatics as well as the full-bodied, ripe fruit character of New World wines. Flavors hint of cranberry, red and black cherry, and plum. It pairs well with all but sweet/tart dishes, and stands alone very well.

Zinergy 2009 Zinergy   2010 Coming Soon
Paso Robles AVA
75% Zinfandel,  20% Petite Sirah,  5% Grenache
Alcohol: 14.5%

Zinergy exhibits the spiced berry character common to Zinfandel wines, and with the addition of Petite Sirah and Grenache, the result is a flavor and aroma synergy that exceeds the sum of the parts. 2007 is becoming one of the most heralded of the recent vintages, yielding wines of full ripeness and abundant aromas. Zinergy is our most versatile food wine, and boasts aromas of spice, blackberry, rose, and smoke with a strawberry note from that little bit of Grenache.

Petite Sirah2009 Petite Sirah
Paso Robles AVA
95% Petite Sirah, 5% Mourvèdre
Alcohol: 14.5%

This wine is one of the best iterations of the true Durif Petite Sirah that we grow, and now that the full aging process is complete, this wine has become a truly elegant offering. The aromatics are spice, blueberry, smoke and cocoa, the flavors are dark fruit with a hint of cream, and there are smooth, ample tannins leading up to a long, ripe finish. Since we only have a small lot of this wine, we don’t serve it in our tasting room but we encourage you to make the leap of faith with us and take a bottle home to share with family and the best of your friends.

Kiler Grove has recently introduced our new “Whimsey” label series of “one-time-only” wines for sale.  Our new label represents the Winemaker’s whimsey for special opportunities to use regional fruit or different processes than we normally use for our Estate bottlings.

'12 Nobel Riesling

2012 Noble Riesling
 Snake River Valley AVA

Alcohol: 13.5%      Residual Sugar 3.97 grams per liter

Our Riesling is made from Snake River Valley (Boise, Idaho) grapes that were blessed by the “noble” botrytis cinerea mold.  This gives the wine a honey and toasted nut character on top of the great floral, peach and pear aromas.  Try it as an aperitif or as a companion to spicy Asian foods.
